Can you bake raw pasta in the oven in a LeCreuset?

I was thinking about trying to make a pasta dish by making homemade marinara in my Le Creuset then adding dried pasta, covering and cooking at 350′ till pasta was tender(maybe 45min-1 hr). Does anyone have in suggestions on how to do this?

I’ve done lasagne using uncooked dry pasta in the oven.

You will have to add lots of sauce as your pasta will soak it up during the cooking process.

First of all, dry pasta takes up an incredible amount of water, so unless yo like really thick sauce, I’d suggest adding at least a half jar MORE of water to the dish before placing it in the oven. Mix the sauce and extra water first though. Layer the pasta evenly in the pan. For and added flavor and protean, add grated cheeses(Parmesan, Cheddar, pepper-jack, etc.) onto the top of the dish before placing in the oven. You can thank me later. Just don’t forget a little bit of butter to the top of the pasta before the sauce mix is added, otherwise, the pasta will stick together as well as to the pan.

You can if you add about 2 cups of water to your sauce, and use a pasta that is not too thick and rugged. The pasta is going to absorb an incredible amount of water. You want to make sure it doesn’t absorb all the sauce (that’s why the water); if it does, it will be a sticky, half-cooked mess. I would also suggest occasionally stirring to ensure even cooking.

Baking raw pasta? U will turn up getting burnt pasta. Cook the pasta in water first before baking it.
